Product Information
- Syringetin-3-glucoside
Syringetin-3-o-glucoside is a phenolic compound found in plants. It is synthesized from the amino acid L-phenylalanine and the hydroxybenzoic acid, salicylic acid. Syringetin-3-o-glucoside can be found in a number of plant species such as Tilia cordata, Tilia platyphyllos, and Magnolia officinalis. The biosynthesis of syringetin involves two main pathways: via cinnamic acid or via ferulic acid. The biosynthesis of syringetin can be followed by an electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI MS) technique that has been shown to be effective for complex molecules containing nitrogen. Syringetin can also be detected with UV detectors and analyzed using spectroscopies such as fluorescence, infrared, Raman, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), or circular dichroism
