Description:

Demethylvestitol is a naturally occurring glycoside that belongs to the class of glycosides. It has been found in Glycyrrhiza uralensis and Phaseolus hispidus. Demethylvestitol has shown anti-inflammatory effects in laboratory tests, which may be due to its inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis. In addition, demethylvestitol inhibits the growth of fungus in vitro and has shown activity against anthyllis, a type of fungus that causes plant diseases. The majority of these activities are thought to be due to the presence of isoflavones such as daidzein and genistein.
