Maoyerabdosin is a 2-d nmr, activated, imatinib derivative that has anticancer activity. This drug has been shown to have a significant cytotoxicity against K562 and HL-60 cells in vitro. Maoyerabdosin inhibits the P38 signaling pathway and activates the transcription of genes that control apoptosis. It also has an anticancer effect on human cancer cell lines. The main active ingredient in maoyerabdosin is the ent-kaurane diterpenoid, which was found to be responsible for the anticancer effects of this drug. This herb’s medicinal properties are mainly due to its significant inhibitory activity on cancer cells and significant cytotoxicity against human leukemia cells (K562).
