Hidiosmin is a natural product that is a matrix polymer of polysaccharides. It has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animals and humans. Hidiosmin has been used to treat various inflammatory diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, skin conditions, and other autoimmune diseases. Hidiosmin has also been shown to inhibit the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) that are responsible for tissue damage in inflammatory diseases. The analog of this compound is a synthetic compound called hidroxi acid which is being studied for cancer and infectious disease treatment.
