Product Information
Name:Methyl 3-(4-aminophenoxy)benzoate hydrochloride
Brand:Biosynth
Description:Methyl 3-(4-aminophenoxy)benzoate hydrochloride is an inhibitor of the sodium channel. It has been shown to decrease locomotor activity in mice and rats, and inhibit DNA template activity in vitro. Methyl 3-(4-aminophenoxy)benzoate hydrochloride has also been shown to have cardiac effects in both acute toxicities and chronic administration experiments. The drug also inhibits the ion flux through the sodium channels, preventing the propagation of nerve signals to muscles. Studies have shown that methyl 3-(4-aminophenoxy)benzoate hydrochloride may act as a competitive inhibitor of the sodium channel by binding to a cysteine residue near the pore region of the channel. This drug also shows anti-inflammatory properties by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis in mouse macrophages (Miapaca-2 cells).
