Product Information

Name:
CDK9-IN-1
Description:

CDK9-IN-1 is a small molecule that inhibits the activity of the mcl-1 protein. CDK9-IN-1 has been shown to have minimal toxicity in cell culture and no significant inhibitory effect on polymerase chain reaction. This drug may be used to treat syncytial virus infection and other infectious diseases, as well as cancer. CDK9-IN-1 inhibits the kinase activity of mcl-1 and blocks the apoptosis pathway by inhibiting transcriptional activation of genes involved in this process. It also potentiates tumor cell death by inhibiting response elements that are necessary for cellular proliferation, such as those found in BCL2, MYC, or HIF1α proteins.
CDK9-IN-1 is a potent inducer of apoptosis through inhibition of the kinase activity of mcl-1 with minimal toxicity in vitro methods.
