Ladarixin sodium is a synthetic compound that has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on inflammation. Ladarixin sodium binds to chemokine receptors, which are involved in the recruitment of neutrophils and macrophages. This compound has also been shown to be active against primary tumors and reduce insulin resistance in mice with type 2 diabetes. Ladarixin sodium has been used as an adjuvant therapy for patients with inflammatory diseases such as psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, and Crohn's disease. Clinical data from Phase II clinical trials indicate that this drug can reduce disease activity in these patients.
