ML-311 is a compound that has been shown to have a number of effects on physiological systems. It has been shown to be an activator of the dopamine β-hydroxylase and an inhibitor of phosphodiesterases, which are enzymes involved in the regulation of blood pressure. ML-311 has also been shown to have diagnostic properties, as it can bind to DNA and RNA molecules. A study on patients with solid tumours showed that ML-311 was able to inhibit the growth of cancer cells by binding to their DNA. This drug is currently being developed for use in humans, but clinical response is yet unknown.
