Description:
Sarcandrone B is a natural product derived from the sarcandra plant. It has been shown to be active against bacteria that are resistant to erythromycin and clarithromycin, such as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Sarcandrone B inhibits bacterial growth by binding to the ribosomal protein S12 and blocking bacterial protein synthesis.
