1,4-Phenylenediamine sulfate is a sulfadiazine additive that has been used in the production of antibiotics. It is used to neutralize the effects of acid and alkali. The advances in this compound are due to its hydrolysis by sulfide and its activation by organic solvents. The control experiments have shown that it can be used as an environmental pollutant treatment method for picric acid and dodecylbenzene. 1,4-Phenylenediamine sulfate is also an important chemical intermediate for the synthesis of other compounds such as dyes, pharmaceuticals, and pesticides.
