Description:

1,4-Xylene-D10 is a chemical that belongs to the group of aliphatic hydrocarbons. It has a molecular weight of 128.17 and can be found in low concentrations in the environment. 1,4-Xylene-D10 is used as an analytical reagent in gas chromatography and electron ionization techniques. It has been used successfully as an analytical method for determining fatty acids in animal tissue. The rate constants for reactions with ethyl groups have been determined using second order rate constants. The activation energies for these reactions have also been determined using kinetic methods.
1,4-Xylene-D10 can be found in the atmosphere at concentrations of 0.3 parts per billion (ppb) and is released by anthropogenic sources such as vehicle exhausts or industrial processes.
