Product Information

Name:
Resorcinolnaphthalein
Description:

Resorcinolnaphthalein is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that is used to treat chronic pulmonary diseases and other inflammatory conditions. Resorcinolnaphthalein has been shown to inhibit the production of proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-10, and also has the ability to modulate autophagy. It has been shown in vitro to activate the transcription of pro-inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, and adhesion molecules in response to lipopolysaccharides (LPS). Resorcinolnaphthalein also inhibits angiotensin II, which may be responsible for its antihypertensive effects. Transgenic animal studies have shown that resorcinolnaphthalein inhibits airway hyperresponsiveness and pulmonary hypertension induced by chronic cigarette smoke exposure.
