6-Anilinoquinoline-5,8-quinone is a chemical compound that belongs to the family of cyclase inhibitors. It has been shown to inhibit cyclase and cytosolic Ca2+, which are intracellular targets for HIV infection. 6-Anilinoquinoline-5,8-quinone inhibits the transcription of HIV by binding to dinucleotide phosphate in the cell nucleus. This compound has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties through its ability to inhibit prostaglandin synthesis and reduce the production of inflammatory cytokines. 6-Anilinoquinoline-5,8-quinone has been shown to be pluripotent in vitro and can induce a number of physiological effects in cells such as increased protein synthesis and reduced cellular respiration.
