Licoflavone B inhibits the replication of influenza virus and herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) by binding to viral proteins. It also has inhibitory activity against other viruses, such as HIV and vaccinia virus. Licoflavone B also has anti-oxidant effects on mammalian cells, which may be due to its ability to scavenge free radicals.
