- Ledipasvir Acetone
Ledipasvir is a synthetic antiviral agent. It is an oral prodrug that is converted to solvates in the liver and then hydrolyzed to the active form, ledipasvir (acetone). Ledipasvir inhibits hepatitis C virus by binding to NS5A, a nonstructural protein of the virus. Ledipasvir does not have activity against other viruses such as HIV-1 or influenza A virus. Ledipasvir has been shown to be well-tolerated in clinical trials with few side effects. Ledipasvir is used for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C infection.
