Product Information
Gopherenediol is a mammalian phytoalexin that is isolated from the plant Euphorbia lathyris. It has been shown to have antifeedant and antiherbivore activities in the Florida rabbit (Sylvilagus floridanus). Gopherenediol has also been shown to have an inhibitory effect on the growth of root-feeding nematodes, such as Lathyris longicornis. Gopherenediol extracted from E. lathyris roots exhibited activity against both adults and eggs of these nematodes, with higher activity seen at lower concentrations.
