Description:
Acetylvirolin is an acetylated flavone that is isolated from the roots of the Acorus gramineus plant. Acetylvirolin has been shown to inhibit the growth of Gram-positive bacteria, such as Bacillus subtilis and Clostridium perfringens. It also inhibits bacterial spore germination and hyphal growth in vitro. Additionally, it has been shown to have some anti-inflammatory effects on cultured human cells.
