AZD7507 is a small molecule that has been shown to have potential for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. It inhibits choline kinase, which is an enzyme that regulates the metabolism of phospholipids and fatty acids. AZD7507 was also shown to inhibit c-Src and c-Fms, two proteins that are involved in the regulation of chemokine production. This drug is not active against cells that are resistant to death receptors such as TRAIL or TNFα. AZD7507 has also been shown to be effective against cancer cells in culture, while showing little toxicity to normal cells.
