7-o-Methyleucomol is a chemical compound that is a member of the flavonoid family. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of S. aureus and influenza virus in cell cultures, as well as the proliferation of leukemia cells. This compound also inhibits biochanin-induced staphylococcus cell adhesion to human colon carcinoma cells, which may be due to its ability to block surface proteins on these cells. 7-o-Methyleucomol has also been shown to have anti-cancer properties.
