Description:4,6-Diamino-2-bromonicotinonitrile (DAB) is a chemical compound that inhibits phosphodiesterase enzymes. It has been shown to inhibit cyclic nucleotide phosphodiesterases, including PDE5, which is found in tissues and bronchial passages. DAB also inhibits the activity of phosphodiesterases in cells. The inhibition is reversible and uses hydrogenated fatty acids as substrates. This compound has been used as a cross-linking agent to induce antigenicity in proteins.
