It has been shown to inhibit the uptake of dopamine and serotonin, which may be due to its ability to bind to the transporter proteins on the cell membrane. Gbr 13069 dihydrochloride may also have an inhibitory effect on glutamate release and reuptake, as well as on noradrenaline release.
