Product Information
RKI-1313 is an analog of RKI-1447 that is more potent as an inhibitor of ROCK1 and ROCK2. ROCK1 and ROCK2 are kinases that are involved in the regulation of cell motility, migration, and invasion. RKI-1313 has been shown to inhibit the formation of lamellipodia in cancer cells, which are actin-rich protrusions from the cell membrane that play a role in cancer progression. This drug also inhibits tumor growth in mice by blocking metastasis, or the spread of cancer cells to other parts of the body. The mechanism for this inhibition appears to be due to its ability to block ATP binding sites on ROCK1 and ROCK2.
