Sophoraisoflavone A is a natural compound that belongs to the genus Sophora. It has inhibitory properties on the energy metabolism and protein transport. Sophoraisoflavone A is effective against glycyrrhiza uralensis, which is a type of liver cancer cell line. This compound binds to ATPase, inhibiting the transport of proteins into the cell and causing a decrease in ATP levels. This leads to apoptosis in cancerous cells.
