Product Information
Prionitin is a low-energy, natural product that has been shown to have bioactive properties. It was first isolated from the leaves of the Prunus genus and later identified in other plants. Prionitin is an eluting ligand that binds to aromatic hydrocarbons. Magnesium oxide can be used as a co-elution agent when isolating Prionitin from plant material. The molecule has been shown to have anti-diabetic and anti-inflammatory effects in mice with lymphocytic leukemia, as well as having potential applications in cancer therapy. Prionitin's chirality is enantiomeric, which means it will be a mirror image of its opposite form (i.e., right handed).
