Product Information
CIL62 is a molecule that has been shown to induce ferroptosis, a form of programmed cell death. Ferroptosis is triggered by oxidative stress and characterized by the formation of lipid-rich, iron-containing organelles called lipidosomes. CIL62 induces ferroptosis by inhibiting the activity of the protein caspase-8, which is an enzyme that activates other caspases. CIL62 also inhibits the activity of caspase-9 and -3, two proteins involved in apoptosis, or programmed cell death.
