Description:

N,N'-Bis[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide (TDC) is a molecule that is a hydrocarbon with a carboxylate group. The TDC has a high melting point and can be found in human urine. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon that is found in metal ion complexes. A polylactic acid-co-glycolic acid copolymer made from the TDC was developed as an alternative to polyesters for use in biomedical applications. TDC can also be used in organic solvents such as ethylene glycol and propylene glycol.
