FRETS-25Val is a research tool that is used to activate, inhibit, or modulate the function of ion channels. FRETS-25Val is an agonist of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and ligands for receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs). It has been shown to bind to Ligand Binding Domains (LBDs) on cell surface receptors. FRETS-25Val binds to antibody Fc regions and also inhibits the binding of peptides to proteins by competing with them for binding sites.
