Description:Phen-DC3 is a fluorescent derivative that belongs to the class of pyridostatin analogues. Phen-DC3 binds to nuclear dna and prevents the formation of dna duplexes by binding to the minor groove of the double helix. This binding leads to inhibition of RNA synthesis and DNA replication.
