Description:
1-(7-Bromo-4-methyl-3,4-dihydropyrido[2,3-b]-pyrazin-1(2H)-yl)-2,2-dimethylpropan-1-one is a histamine derivative that inhibits bacterial growth in vitro. It has been shown to inhibit the binding of histamine to the H3 receptor and to inhibit the activity of histamine at this site. It also has an amide substituent on the imidazole ring. The chloro substituents are located on the imidazole ring, which may be responsible for its antibacterial activity.
