Description:

4-Fluoro-7-nitro-1H-indole is an organic compound that has been synthesized in a chemical reaction. The synthesis of 4-fluoro-7-nitro-1H indole starts with the nitration of 2,4,6-trichlorophenol. From this intermediate, sodium hydroxide and sodium cyanoborohydride were used to convert it into the desired product. Sodium hydroxide was used to neutralize the hydrochloric acid that was formed from the nitration. Sodium cyanoborohydride was used as a reducing agent to reduce the nitro group on the compound back to a hydroxy group. The 4-fluoro indole was then reacted with acetyl chloride in trichloromethane (CHCl3) to form n-(4-fluorophenyl)-n-(2,4,6-trichlorophenoxy)acetamide. This final product is an organic
