The CovR protein is expressed on the surface of cells in the heart, lungs, and other tissues. Cis-4-[[2-(1H-Benzimidazol-6-ylamino)-8-quinazolinyl]oxy]-cyclohexanol is a temporary antiviral agent that has been synthesized to evaluate its potential as an antiviral drug for use during a pandemic.
