This molecule also inhibits the production of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and n-3 fatty acids from activated macrophages. 4-Methoxy-13C,d3-estrone has been shown to be effective in the prevention of tumorigenesis in mice with colon carcinogenesis.
