Product Information
Corymbosin is a bioactive molecule that is found in the natural product Gardenia japonica. It has been shown to have anthelmintic efficacy against nematodes and exhibits a strong inhibitory effect on tumor cells. Corymbosin inhibits chemical reactions by binding to chalcones, thereby preventing the formation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS). This same mechanism is believed to be responsible for its hepatoprotective effects. Corymbosin also has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice by inducing apoptosis. The exact mechanism of the antitumor activity is not known but may be related to corymbosin's ability to inhibit protein synthesis or induce cell death via necrosis.
