Acetylcholine-d9 bromide is a radioactive isotope of acetylcholine. It is injected and used for the analysis of acupoints, skeletal muscle, and blood. The injection site should be chosen carefully to avoid damage to major organs. Acetylcholine-d9 bromide is used to measure the concentration of acetylcholine in plasma, which can be used as a marker for diseases such as myasthenia gravis and Lambert-Eaton syndrome. It is also used in the diagnosis of disorders related to skeletal muscles such as muscular dystrophy and Duchenne's muscular dystrophy. Acetylcholine-d9 bromide can also be injected into an acupoint or intramuscularly, which has been shown to increase intragastric acidity.
