Product Information

Name:
Artemether-d3
Description:

Artemether-d3 is a drug that belongs to the group of drugs called artemisinin derivatives. It is used in the treatment of malaria. Artemether-d3 has been shown to have a matrix effect and to be long-term toxic, which may be due to its sodium carbonate content. Artemether-d3 is absorbed into the bloodstream after oral administration and reaches peak concentrations in about 2 hours. The pharmacokinetic properties of this drug are well studied and it has been shown not to have serious toxicity, except for transient diarrhoea. This drug can also be used as an analytical reagent for determining the concentration of artemisinin in blood plasma or serum samples, using high performance liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy.
