Description:

Floribundone 1 is a natural compound isolated from the bark of the genus Populnea. It has shown anti-inflammatory and anti-nociceptive effects in animal models, as well as cancer therapy and chemoprevention. Floribundone 1 inhibits tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), which is a cytokine that plays an important role in inflammation and immune responses. Floribundone 1 also prevents the migration of leukemia cells by blocking their adhesion to endothelial cells in vitro. This compound also inhibits peroxide production, which may be due to its inhibition of phospholipase A2 activity.
