Tertiapin Q is a transcription-polymerase chain inhibitor that blocks the production of mRNA from DNA. It binds to the polymerase chain and prevents the formation of RNA, leading to an inhibition of protein synthesis in bacteria. Tertiapin Q is used as a pharmacological agent for treatment of brain functions and cardiac diseases. Tertiapin Q also has been shown to inhibit acetylcholinesterase activity in rat brains and prevent cardiac arrhythmias in rats with heart disease. 1) Rifapentine is an anti-tuberculosis drug that belongs to the class of rifamycins. It is the most active of the rifamycins for the treatment of tuberculosis. Rifapentine inhibits bacterial growth by binding to DNA-dependent RNA polymerase, thereby preventing transcription and replication. The high frequency of human activity has been shown using a patch-clamp technique on human erythrocytes
