Product Information
Azoxystrobin is a fungicide that has been shown to be effective against many kinds of fungi. It is often used in agriculture to protect crops against fungal diseases, such as mildew and rust. Azoxystrobin is also effective against bacteria, including Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes tuberculosis. Azoxystrobin is an active ingredient in the fungicide Wilt-Pruf. The structure of azoxystrobin is impure, containing an (Z)-azoxy group instead of the more common (E)-azoxy group. Azoxystrobin can be purified by liquid chromatography using a wittig column.
