Product Information

Name:
Pam2CSK4
Description:

Pam2CSK4 is a peptide that was designed to bind to the cytosolic calcium sensor protein, calmodulin. This protein is involved in many biochemical processes, including antimicrobial activity and signal transduction pathways. The wild-type strain of bacteria was used to test the efficacy of Pam2CSK4 against oral pathogens. In vivo studies on mice have shown that Pam2CSK4 can be used as an adjuvant for vaccines against infectious diseases and autoimmune diseases. The efficacy of Pam2CSK4 has been tested in vivo using human serum samples from healthy volunteers as well as in vivo models using human cells. These experiments have confirmed that Pam2CSK4 binds to the toll-like receptor (TLR) and NF-κB binding activity, which are important for activating immune responses.
