(+)-Puerol B 2''-o-glucoside is a stereochemical that belongs to the group of norlignans. It is a major metabolite of puerarin, which is found in the heartwood of lignum vitae trees. (+)-Puerol B 2''-o-glucoside has been shown to have pharmacological properties, including antimicrobial and antioxidant activity. In addition, it has been shown to inhibit intestinal glucose absorption in an animal model.
