Flufenoxystrobin is a pesticide that belongs to the group of fungicides. It inhibits the growth of fungi by inhibiting protein synthesis, and has been shown to be effective against a wide range of microorganisms including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Flufenoxystrobin is an antibiotic that inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to the enzyme D-alanine/D-alanine ligase in the peptidoglycan synthesis pathway. This active form also blocks RNA synthesis by binding to the enzyme DNA polymerase in the ribonucleotide reductase pathway. Flufenoxystrobin has antiviral properties due to its ability to bind to viral RNA polymerases and inhibit viral replication.
