Product Information
Protein kinase LATS2 is a protein that belongs to the family of serine/threonine-specific protein kinases. It is involved in cancer development and progression, and has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in mice. LATS2 gene expression is increased in estrogen receptor-positive breast cancers, and its inhibition has been shown to reduce the number of tumors in mice. LATS2 also plays a role in the regulation of cell growth and proliferation by inhibiting certain transcription factors that are essential for this process. LATS2 has been shown to be an oncogene through its ability to regulate cell cycle progression and induce apoptosis or differentiation of human cancer cells.
