Description:2-Bromoethyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate is a molecule that binds to the benzodiazepine receptor and is used in clinical studies. It has been shown to have an uptake of 0.16% per hour, which is much slower than other benzodiazepines such as diazepam. 2-Bromoethyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate has also been shown to be effective in treating anxiety and depression. The effective dose for this drug is 50 mg/kg, which is much higher than the 10 mg/kg dose of diazepam. This drug has been found to be safe in animals and humans at high doses, but its efficacy against pancreatic cancer remains unknown.
