Product Information
- Quinoline, 7-Methoxy-2-Methyl-
- 2-Methyl-7-methoxyquinoline
7-Methoxy-2-methylquinoline is a tetradentate ligand that can be used in cross-coupling reactions. This product is efficient and can be used to synthesize organic compounds with the use of UV irradiation, which is an energy source. 7-Methoxy-2-methylquinoline has been shown to have anti-Alzheimer's disease effects and may be able to inhibit the formation of amyloid plaques in the brain. It also has potential as a therapeutic agent for Parkinson's disease and Huntington's disease. 7-Methoxy-2-methylquinoline binds to metal ions such as copper, nickel, zinc, and cadmium ions and accelerates their reaction rates by orders of magnitude when compared with unbound metal ions. This product also has a number of oxidation products that are nature active and can form primary alcohols through the addition of hydrogen or other nucleophiles.
