Product Information
Tobramycin sulfate is an inhibitor of kinase activity that has been shown to induce apoptosis in cancer cells. It is an analog of the antibiotic kanamycin and is commonly used to treat urinary tract infections. Tobramycin sulfate has been shown to inhibit the activity of several kinases in both Chinese hamster ovary cells and human cancer cells, including protein kinase C and casein kinase II. In addition, it has been found to have anticancer properties against a variety of tumors, including those resistant to nifedipine or other inhibitors. Tobramycin sulfate may be a promising candidate for the development of new anticancer drugs due to its potent inhibition of kinases and induction of apoptosis in cancer cells.
