Description:

3-(Cyclopentyloxy)-4-methoxybenzoic acid is a cyclic amide that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It has been shown to inhibit neutrophil migration, which may be due to its ability to block the activation of the anion channel on the cell membrane. 3-(Cyclopentyloxy)-4-methoxybenzoic acid also blocks the release of reactive oxygen species from neutrophils, preventing cellular damage and organ dysfunction. This compound is used in biological studies as well as for treatment of pulmonary diseases such as colitis.
