Product Information
H3B-120 is a synthetic analog of histidine. It is a competitive inhibitor of the enzyme histidine decarboxylase, which catalyzes the conversion of histidine to orotic acid in the body. Administration of H3B-120 prevents the formation of orotic acid, thereby inhibiting tumor growth and prolonging life in transgenic animals with cancer. This drug has been shown to selectively inhibit cell growth in lung cancer cells, while not affecting normal cells. H3B-120 has also been shown to be advantageous for positioning as it can be administered orally and does not yield any side effects.
