Product Information

Name:
BI-4916
Controlled Product
Description:

BI-4916 is a small molecule that has been developed for the treatment of cancer. It has been shown to be a potent inhibitor of formylation and is thought to inhibit the production of protein that is necessary for the growth and proliferation of cancer cells. BI-4916 has been shown to be effective against cervical cancer in vitro and in vivo, as well as other cancers. BI-4916 prevents the conversion of amino acids into glucose, which inhibits glycolysis and blocks cellular proliferation. The compound also alters metabolic reprogramming, reducing mitochondrial activity and inhibiting biosynthesis in nature. This drug has been shown to be safe in humans at doses up to 1,000 mg/kg/day for up to two weeks with no observed side effects.
