Product Information
(S)-2-Amino-N-(5-(6-chloro-5-(3-methylphenylsulfonamido)pyridin-3-yl)-4-methylthiazol-2-yl)-3-methylbutanamide (LMB) is a molecule that has been shown to have potent activity against lymphocytic leukemia cells. LMB binds to the cell surface and inhibits the function of the T cell receptor, inhibiting the proliferation of T cells. It also inhibits the activation of B cells and prevents them from differentiating into antibody producing cells. LMB is an inhibitor of erythropoiesis and therefore can be used as a treatment for autoimmune diseases such as lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and multiple sclerosis. This drug can also be used in cancer therapy due to its ability to inhibit chronic lymphocytic leukemia by preventing cellular maturation.
