SCH-1473759 is a small molecule that inhibits endoreduplication and autophagy in cancer cells. It is also a specific agent for cancer therapy. Clinical studies have found that SCH-1473759 has low expression in human liver, which may be due to the methylation of its gene promoter region. This drug has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in cell culture and animal models. SCH-1473759 has not yet been approved by the FDA for use in humans as a cancer treatment. This drug targets cancer cells by inhibiting the activity of DNA methyltransferase 1 (Dnmt1). The effective dose for SCH-1473759 is unknown, but it is believed to be less than 100 mg/kg per day when administered orally.
